BOTOX® for Treatment of Frown Lines
BOTOX Cosmetic is a simple, non-surgical, physician-administered treatment that can temporarily smooth moderate to severe frown lines between the brows in people from 18 to 65 years of age. It is the only treatment of its type approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Over 3 million people have been treated with BOTOX Cosmetic since FDA approval in 2002. Physician surveys have demonstrated that Botox treatment of frown lines of the forehead has the highest level of patient satisfaction of all physician administered cosmetic treatments. One 10-minute treatment—a few tiny injections—results in a noticeable improvement in persistent lines around the brow and eyelid. The affect of the treatment typically lasts for up to 4 months and can be repeated as indicated.
Dr. Kandavel has received special training both in ophthalmic plastic surgery and in BOTOX therapy. As a highly trained eye surgeon, he is uniquely qualified to provide this service at the highest level of safety because of his specialized training and understanding of the muscles around the eyes. Not all patients are candidates for BOTOX therapy, and patients who are pregnant or have certain muscle disorders may not be candidates. Results may vary. Please consult with your eye surgeon to determine if you would benefit from BOTOX Cosmetic treatment.
