Welcome to the Colvard Eye Center...
Laser Vision Correction
The most advanced laser vision correction and lens technologies are now available at the Colvard Eye Center. (Click below to get the facts.)
WAVEFRONT Guided LASIK
This new technology can measure and map focusing errors in an individual’s eye that have never before been detectable. The technology was adapted from astronomers who developed methods of sharpening their view of distant objects.
All LASER LASIK with the Intralase® Laser
All Laser LASIK is now a reality. LASIK surgery involves the formation of a thin flap of tissue through the front portion of the cornea. This flap is lifted, laser treatment is performed, and the flap is then place back over the cornea.
New Lenses for Cataract Surgery
The CrystaLens™ The 1st Accommodative Lens
The new CrystaLens incorporates a revolutionary new concept in design. It is soft and flexible and is able to change focus. As a patient looks at distant, intermediate or near objects, the lens changes its power. In this way, this new intraocular lens is able to restore a more youthful and natural range of vision.
Multifocal Lenses: The Restor® and ReZoom™ Lenses
Breakthroughs in the design of multifocal lenses in the last year have led to the development of two new lenses the ReSTOR and the ReZoom. These two new intraocular lenses are able to focus light at various distances therefore reducing the need for glasses for both seeing far objects(street signs) and for near vision tasks (reading your watch). This represents a great advantage over the traditional monofocal intraocular lens.
The Acrysof®toric IOL: Correcting
Astigmatism with Cataract Surgery
The new Acrysof®toric lens provides patients with higher degrees of astigmatism improved vision without glasses.
Patients with life long problems of astigmatism and blurry vision now have a new opportunity for improved sight without glasses following cataract surgery.
